It all started because she couldnt give up her favorite pair of well-worn, beloved Levis.
Over the years she wore holes in her favorite jeans, and while some the holes she patched with fabric, some of them were left open.
When the hem gave out, she added fabric at the bottom.
Loving how the soft, faded denim felt, she kept repairing them, noticing that not only did she love her jeans---lots of other people did too.
Seemed like everywhere she went, people would stop her and ask her where she got her jeans.
After this started to happen quite frequently Michelle decided to create and refurbish vintage jeans as a business.
These jeans arent designed to replace the designer jeans that people already have, says Michelle.
But SECOND CHANCE? jeans are perfect for when youre just in the mood to put on your favorite pair of jeans, kick back and be relaxed.
I call them my weekend jeans. I named the line SECOND CHANCE? because all of the jeans are vintage. The name also comes from a desire to give yourself a second chance, give yourself a break when you are wearing them.
Like a favorite song from the past, SECOND CHANCE? was created to take you to a good place or a happy time, said Michelle Lamar, Designer.Michelle started selling the jeans online at http://www.whitetrashpalace.com.
White Trash Palace, Inc. is the name of her corporation and the popular web site where she sells mainly t-shirts and gifts.
Being asked to put these jeans in the GRAMMY? Award bags is awesome.
Just for the GRAMMY? awards, we refurbished all vintage Levis.
We use all kinds of different jeans for our line but I wanted to do all Levis for the GRAMMY? awards.
All the celebrity gift bags will have a pair of jeans with the understanding that they can exchange the GRAMMY? jeans for another size.
We are really excited about the GRAMMY? awards but it is all little surreal, said Lamar.Distinctive Assets is thrilled to be continuing their 6-year relationship with The Recording Academy and is once again offering Presenters and Performers fun and exciting gifts which will be presented in two different forms The Gift Basket and Casios presentation of the GRAMMY? Talent Lounge. The exclusive and now legendary GRAMMY? A Mass Customization Revolution
A Mass Customization RevolutionThe Industrial RevolutionThe great social and economic changes due to the introduction of machine and power tools and large-scale industrial production began in 1760. Through the first 70 years of this century, the US was the industrial giant of the world. In 1960 the words "Made in Japan" was thought to be a joke. By 1980, those same words had become the standard for manufacturing. In 1985, U.S.
manufacturing was in a deep depression. Products were too costly, of poor quality and not innovative enough. Now, again, America is ranked No. 1 in manufacturing (World Competitiveness Report, 1996).Mass customizationAmerica's No. 1 standing is primarily due to the manufacturing revolution that has been under way since 1985. This quiet revolution is built on the unsurpassed innovative spirit of the American people.
Innovation is one of the qualities upon which America is founded. American manufactures are the world's leading innovators. The right combination...

(according to fashionistas in the know). You can either give them away to Good Will or keep wearing them...

How to Start a Debt Reduction Plan
Copyright 2006 Stephen Ashton
Whether you simply want to pay off your mortgage or car loan sooner, or you've run up a huge pile of credit card debt, starting a debt reduction plan is always a good idea.
Follow these five steps to setting up your own debt reduction plan:
1. Find out where your money is really going. You can't cut your expenses if you don't understand where you're spending your money in the first place.
Pull out all of your receipts, credit card bills, and bank statements for the last 3 ? 6 months.
Make a list of everything you spend money on, by breaking things down into categories (food, entertainment, clothing, travel, bills, interest, taxes, etc.).
Then figure out what percentage of your income is going towards each group of expenses.
While you can't change certain expenses, you can change most of them.
Decide what general areas you can cut expenses in, and which areas you should be spending...
