The award honors retailers choices for the best in childrens apparel design for the year. The Earnie nominee party gave us the perfect opportunity to network with key industry retailers and manufacturers. The industry is always excited to hear who has been nominated for this prestigious award, said Caletha Crawford, Earnshaws editor in chief. The Earnies gives retailers an opportunity to show their appreciation of manufacturers and brands that have been great performers throughout the year and that continue to move childrens fashion forward. The Earnies has earned its prestigious status in the industry over the last 27 years.
This year, the awards focus on 21 categories within the childrens apparel industry, including the infant and toddler market, girls wear, boys wear, sleepwear, swimwear and accessories. Nominees are selected by a nominating committee consisting of childrens wear experts; the winners are then selected by retailers in Earnshaws circulation.Retailers received the ballots to vote on the 2005 Earnie Award winners in the magazines October issue.
